Being Modern

On the basic level, a modern art historian is one who focuses on art produced after the mid-nineteenth century. At the same time, art history is evolving as a discipline, incorporating new media in the classroom, museums and research. A modern art historian must not only be familiar with these media, but should also be capable of using them.
